Red and Blue...I Love You Too!

Just a quick post! Inspired by a recent post over at Reynardine & Chevalier, I decided to break out this red and blue skirt today that I haven't worn in a while and honestly have never been sure how to wear. I've been sorting through my wardrobe today, making my yearly decision about what will stay and what, if anything, will go to thrift stores. This twirl-worthy garment is definitely staying!

Skirt: Anthropologie
Shoes: Payless
Camisole: Thrifted
Sweater: Hand-Me-Down
Belt: Thrifted
Pearl Necklace Pendant: Gift
Purse: Thrifted

P.S. These shoes are cute, but really uncomfortable. Can anyone recommend a similar pair of mary janes that are more wearable? I walk a lot and am always looking for reasonably comfortable heels. Thanks!

  2. Aw, thanks Kelley Anne...that's so sweet of you! I LOVE that skirt (and your shoes and purse and of course your hair!

As for walk-worthy mary janes...hmm...I own a pair of Ecco brand MJs (they can be pricy but I got them on sale a year or so ago...plus a free subscription to Elle Canada magazine...some sort of promotion). I stand A LOT for work and found them very comfortable.

  5. Keeping the skirt was a good call! I love the twirly stripes, and I think you've done an excellent job making an outfit of it. Very pretty!

  6. You look beautiful! And that skirt is certainly twirl worthy!
Thanks for asking the ? about comfortable heels- I have the same issue (then again I guess a lot of us do) and am always trying to keep my eye out about recommended shoes. I tend to check out the ecco brand as suggested by one of your other readers :0)
