Today Dan ran his marathon. He's been training for six months and made it through to the end in pretty good time. It was his first marathon and probably his last full one...at least for a while. I'm so proud of him and was excited to spend the day with his mom and auntie traveling around to various places along the course to cheer him and his fellow runners on. It was a good day, but we were both pretty exhausted by the end. I didn't get any pics of my outfit while we were out, but here are some that I took this evening back home.
(Oh and by the way, I was pretty stoked to carry this straw bag for the first time today. I've been looking for the perfect little woven purse for summer and was lucky enough to find this one when thrifting on Saturday. I love the wooden handles and it actually zips closed, is fully lined and even has a little pocket on the inside. It reminded me a bit of the one that Summer carries in Ikea in (500) Days of Summer.)

ReplyDeleteGreat bag! Awesome find!
Oh cool, I like the marathon pictures! I've always wanted to run a marathon but my stamina is so poor that I think I would end up walking the entire route! I love your outfit, that straw bag is adorable, and the red laces on your shoes add a nice touch!
ReplyDeletecongratulations to your husband! i ran cross country for three years in high school and havent ran since! :( i really should, judging by the looks of my thighs lately!

ReplyDeleteSo fun! He's very dashing, even whilst running his marathon. Or should I say he's dashing because he's running it? I think it's both! I love you in shortsl it's unexpected and classy and also a bit whimsical. Such a great outfit today. And you know, I never noticed your cat in your header photo until just now!

Congratulations to Dan! :)
ReplyDeleteYou look great. I especially like your blouse, and the lighting in your photos is amazing.
Great accomplishment, very admirable!! I know a lot of runners and know how difficult it can be, way to go Dan!!
ReplyDeleteThe black blouse with the print is amazing, I've been looking for one like that. I'm always hesitant to wear black in the spring & summer, but I love it with shorts and the straw accessories make the whole outfit very versatile.
Your legs go on forever in the last photo! I always love it when you bust those shoes out :D
ReplyDeleteDan looks so chill! Unbelievable. Actually cute too, haha. I'm doing a run end of May too and I'm gonna remember how chill he is when I'm about to run out of steam.
I love the blouse and shorts together!
ReplyDeleteDan did so well -- a marathon!! That's incredible :D
Hurray for Dan!! I love these pictures of you and I have especially loved your last few outfits in your previous posts, but I have been lazy about commenting lately. Love that thrifted necklace too! Hope you're doing well.
ReplyDeleteWell done Dan! What a great achievement, hope he got spoiled with a few lovely treats afterwaeds (and also hope his toenails haven't fallen off - that happened to a friend of mine after a marathon!). Fab bag - sounds like it's in great condition. xx
