Oh Little Rosebud



I found this pretty little dress a few weeks ago in one of my favorite vintage stores in New England. After considering it once I got it home, I realized that it needed some hemming to be perfect. I've never owned a dress with such an impressive collar...and that, combined with the delicate floral print and cotton fabric, were what sold me. Its definitely twirl-worthy!

In other news, I'm leaving for a two week vacation in Italy on Friday afternoon. Now that I think of it, I'm really surprised that I haven't written about it here yet! I suppose with everything that's been going on lately, the trip really snuck up and just did not seem real until this afternoon when I started packing. We're going to take lots of pictures (I think we took almost 400 between the two of us on our last international trip...eek!), so I'll post a few when we return. If I don't post again before Friday afternoon, I look forward to catching up on everyone's blogs when we return.

    Oh my! Have SO much fun in Italy. I love Italy! So jealous right now. Oh- and what a great dress (it will look even better in Italy, I hope you are taking it)!

    Oh my word, that dress is so wonderfully gorgeous! I adore small, charming rose prints on absolutely anything.

    This dress is SO beautiful! Of course I love the collar, but the little floral print is so darling! What a great find....it fits you like a dream. I hope you have an amazing time in Italy...takes lots of pictures!

    Ooo I'm going to miss you honey, really I will! Will be looking forward to some pictures on your return. Have a truly fabulous time. (this dress would look great wandering the streets of Italy)

    I love the first picture, how you managed to get the twirl so well, it's just great. The sunglasses look gorgeous with the outfit and so do the shoes. Oh I like the fifth picture too, so very chic.

    Pretty pretty pretty! I love it! I bet you get really dizzy when you're wearing it, don't you just have to do pirouettes in it the whole time?

    Have a great vacation! I would love to go to Italy, I'm thinking I'll go next year. Be sure to make lots of pictures there.
