Work in Progress

Lately I've been spending most of my creative time working on a collage, mixed media piece. Its going to take a while, but I love throwing myself into a project and slowly finishing each element. Its been particularly slow lately as I've been sick all week. Yuck! Here are some photos of the work in progress.

Every time I draw a picture, I feel like it has an elaborate story hidden within it. Somebody commented to this effect a few posts ago and it got me thinking about ways that I can incorporate text into the picture.

...and a gratuitous cool shoe shot because I walked around our apartment breaking these beauties in all day and just wanted to share them, since I can't wear them outside yet :)

  3. PS: you had asked about what dance lessons I'm taking. We're doing a basic ballroom class, so rumba, foxtrot, cha cha, swing, waltz, tango!

  4. it's so funny you stopped by my blog, i was just thinking about yours and how i needed to come visit and see how you were! your project is coming along beautifully! i scrolled down and saw some of your other work which is lovely. i especially like the drawing of the girl with the long dress on.
i hope all is well and look forward to seeing this project when it's finished :D

  5. i love the detail shot of her foot -- it really does seem like there is a lot in this piece!

also, those shoes! i love cone heels -- so much easier to walk in than stilettos!

  7. Haha! I do that with new shoes, too. Break them in inside the apartment to the amused looks of the boyf.

What sort of story does this fiery-haired lady have? I am intrigued :)
